Précis: In their book Frege: Identity challenges reflection – a revisionist view (OUP 2025), Ulrich Pardey and Kai Wehmeier argue that Frege's central writings on identity have been persistently misinterpreted.  They develop and clarify what they take to be Frege's true view and build on it to challenge conventional wisdom on the nature and function of identity. In the course of the workshop, leading experts will address themes of the book and situate them in the debate about identity more generally. The event will also feature short replies by Pardey and Wehmeier
