
The Program in Logic and Philosophy of Science at UC Irvine is pleased to announce the visit of Chancellor's Distinguished Fellow, Prof. Solomon Feferman, which will take place October 18-22, 1999.
Concomitantly with Prof. Feferman's visit, the Interdisciplinary Program in History and Philosophy of Science at UCI is pleased to sponsor a public lecture by Anita B. Feferman, which will take place on Oct. 22, 1999.
| Solomon Feferman is Professor of Mathematics and Philosophy and the Patrick Suppes Family Professor of Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University, and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His latest book is In the Light of Logic (Oxford University Press). | ![]() |

Anita B. Feferman is an independent scholar and a biographer. In 1993 she published Politics, Logic, and Love: the Life of Jean van Heijenoort. She is currently working on a biography of Alfred Tarski. |
