Solomon Feferman



The Program in Logic and Philosophy of Science at UC Irvine is pleased to announce the visit of Chancellor's Distinguished Fellow, Prof. Solomon Feferman, which will take place October 18-22, 1999.

Concomitantly with Prof. Feferman's visit, the Interdisciplinary Program in History and Philosophy of Science at UCI is pleased to sponsor a public lecture by Anita B. Feferman, which will take place on Oct. 22, 1999.

Solomon Feferman is Professor of Mathematics and Philosophy and the Patrick Suppes Family Professor of Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University, and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His latest book is In the Light of Logic (Oxford University Press). Book cover
ABF Anita B. Feferman is an independent scholar and a biographer. In 1993 she published Politics, Logic, and Love: the Life of Jean van Heijenoort. She is currently working on a biography of Alfred Tarski.
