| Description: | This is a reding seminar on epistemology with a particular focus on the
epistemology of science. We will read on average two papers or a short book
per week. The reading list will include Peirce, Schlick, Carnap, Hempel, Popper,
Quine, Kuhn, Putnam, van Fraassen, Sklar, and Laudan. Many of the papers
we will read are in the MIT anthology *The Philosophy of Science*, Boyd et al. eds (1999).
