| Description: | We will start by
studying the virtues and vices of the standard account of propositional
knowledge as true justified belief, then we will turn to more recent
accounts of knowledge. We will focus particularly on
naturalized epistemology and on pragmatic accounts of
knowledge. The course will include (among others) readings
from Descartes, Hume, Kant, Peirce, Quine, and Putnum. Textbook: Human Knoweldge, Moser, Oxford University Press. |
