Description:  Philosophical questions concerning the nature and foundations of scientific inference, e.g., the traditional problem of induction, the probability calculus and its philosophical morals, different interpretations of probability, their interaction in inductive reasoning, and morals for the practice of science. Prerequisite: LPS 30 or 104. Breadth category V.
