Name:  Introduction to Symbolic Logic
Description:  This course is an introduction to formal logic. Students will learn to use formal languages for propositional and quantificational logic to represent the logical structure of arguments expressed in English. They will also learn techniques, in particular the "tree method", for assessing the validity of arguments formulated in those formal languages.
