Visiting Professor/Visiting Researcher Position: 

Job as posted in Jobs for Philosophers: University of California, Irvine.  The Department of Logic and Philosophy of Science invites applications for a visiting professor or visiting researcher depending on the qualifications of the applicant.  This position provides a small amount of funding to allow for new or established faculty to visit UC Irvine for up to a total of eight months.  The responsibilities of this position primarily involve interacting with faculty and graduate students on current research projects in LPS.  AOS and AOC are open.  If a successful candidate does not have a primary tenure-track appointment, the position will be a specialist or project scientist.  Applications must be submitted by November 30, 2007. Lecturer Position:

The Department of Logic and Philosophy of Science at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a part-time Non Senate Faculty position to teach Introduction to Logic – a lower division interdisciplinary course.  Annual full time salaries begin at a base rate of $39,096, and are commensurate with teaching experience and level of education.   Applications must be submitted by December 10, 2007.  The University of California is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to excellence through diversity and strongly encourages applications from all qualified applicants, including women and minorities.
